Haul from Saturday's market @ Marietta Square includes some massive sweet potatoes, a head of cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers, beets, brussels sprouts, apples, goat cheese, 2 dozen eggs, bacon, coconut oil and coconut-banana kefir.
Oh my gosh, my first Kind Strong bar changed my life. Kind strong bars are savory nut and seed bars you can find at your local health food or grocery store, and while they are awesome, they total at about a dollar fifty each.
However, Practical Stewardship, a new website to me, saved the day. They created a foolproof, paleo and affordable Kind Bar recipe, totaling at only fifty two cents per bar! That is right around the price of a Nature Valley or Quaker bar, while being much more filling and better for you. I added some vanilla, cinnamon and almond butter (to help them stick together) to mine. See the recipe here.

Later today, I'm attending my first ever real cooking class. It is hosted by Sheri Castle, and we'll be preparing:
- Virgin Mary’s by the Pitcher
- Sausage and Cheese Muffins
- Grandma’s Ambrosia
- Kentucky Hot Browns
- Herb and Cheese Awendaw
- Banana Cobbler with Streusel Topping
