The gift I was most excited about this Christmas was the "Dessert Bullet," by Magic Bullet. It is marketed as "the ten second healthy dessert maker," and that's what it is. All you do is put slightly thawed frozen fruit down the funnel, press "on," and use the taper to feed the fruit through the blades. Out comes fresh sorbet or frozen yogurt in seconds! |
Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. It is fun, easy and customizable, and is dishwasher safe. I have made pumpkin pie, lemon-blueberry-pomegrante, mint chocolate and pineapple-blueberry.
Drawbacks to this machine include the loud noise (quieter than a vitamix, but still loud) and the fact that many recipes rely on bananas or dairy such as greek yogurt, so if you avoid those foods, your options are more limited. Also, unless you get it on sale (like I was able to) it can be upwards of sixty dollars.
Overall rating: Four out of five stars
I am not endorsed by or involved with Magic Bullet at all.
